Good Friday Witness for Peace

Hosted by Friends Meeting at Cambridge, Friday March 30th, 10am – 1:30pm

THE GOOD FRIDAY WITNESS FOR PEACE has been held annually since the early 1960s. We start our meeting for worship at the Beacon Hill Friends House at 10am and then move to the Boston Common (the sidewalk along Tremont St. near the Park Street MBTA station) at 11am, with most standing in silence, some holding signs or banners. A leaflet will also be distributed to those passing by. The meeting will return to the Beacon Hill Friends House at 1pm, concluding at around 1:30pm. All are invited to stay afterward to share soup and bread. The theme this year is the Poor People’s Campaign.
