Sunday in the Parlor with George: A Broadway Sing with George Lakey
You’ve been to his direct action trainings. You’ve read his books on nonviolence and economics. You’ve studied his movement pedagogy. But… HAVE YOU SUNG SHOW TUNES WITH GEORGE LAKEY?
If you haven’t experienced the exuberance of George Lakey at the piano leading a Broadway sing, now is your chance. Gather ’round the Steinway in the Friends House Parlor, grab yourself a song sheet, and belt out your favorites from Rodgers & Hammerstein, Cole Porter, Gershwin, Sondheim, and more.
Free. Donations welcome.
Childcare is available by advance request: email firstname.lastname@example.org by October 6 if possible and include the word “childcare” in the subject line. We will attempt to accommodate requests made after that date, but it can be hard to find providers on short notice.
We regret that the Parlor is not wheelchair accessible. You can reach it without using stairs via the elevator, which has a doorway that is 23″ wide.
