Writing as a Spiritual Practice Workshops

Gather in a safe, meditative, encouraging environment for two hours of creative exploration. These writing workshops, conducted in the Amherst Writers & Artists method, offer an experience that is both grounded and playful, both individual and communal.

These workshops welcome reluctant writers, confident writers, people who don’t like to sit still, people who don’t like to move, religious people, spiritual people, people who kind of cringe at the word “spiritual,” and you.

Things to know:
This series is not sequential. Drop in to as many as you like.
You will never be pressured to share your writing with others.
Please come prepared with something to write with and something to write on.

FIRST-TIME PARTICIPANTS: If this is your first time attending an online writing workshop with Emily Savin, please arrive at the orientation time listed.
RETURNING PARTICIPANTS: If you have already attended an online writing workshop with Emily, please arrive at the beginning of the workshop period (half an hour after the orientation).

In order to make these workshops more accessible, we are offering these workshops a sliding scale. Please choose the rate that is appropriate for your resources and needs. The cost is per drop-in session.
$25: Full rate
$50: Pay it forward, pays for you and another
$10: Reduced rate
Less than $10: Email program@bhfh.org to reserve your place at a rate between $0 and $10 that works for you. We do not ask for proof of income.
