BHFH’s Future And New Executive Director Are Worth Investing In

Dear friends,

I’m so excited to welcome Jen Newman as she steps into the Executive Director role at Beacon Hill Friends House. This change embodies a key part of our mission to nurture Quaker leadership.

Will you join me in supporting BHFH’s work to nurture Quaker leadership and more by making a donation today? Beacon Hill Friends House needs to raise $10,000 by June 30th to meet our fundraising goal.

I met Jen after she moved to Boston in her early twenties, freshly graduated from Vanderbilt Divinity School, when she began attending Beacon Hill Friends Meeting. Over the past 6 years, I have watched Jen blossom through service and staff roles at BHFH. She is now widely recognized in Quaker circles as a rising young adult Quaker leader.

Jen has brought her gifts of community care, insight, and discernment about finding one’s place in the world, to her roles at BHFH. It’s really special to now have her as a leader of this organization. We are thrilled that she said “yes” to the call to continue to serve BHFH.

BHFH was founded to be a place that nurtures people’s gifts and leadership grounded in Quaker values and principles. Jen’s story is one example of many I could share of people who have been touched by BHFH since its founding in 1957. Thousands of people have lived, worshiped, and learned together in this community. Knowing the stories of leadership nurtured by BHFH, such as knowing Jen, makes me want to invest in its future.

Right now we have a special opportunity to support both the House and Jen’s ability to raise up gifts in others through BHFH.

Beacon Hill Friends House needs $10,000 to meet our annual fund goal for this fiscal year. We need our community to come together to help BHFH finish this fiscal year with strong, secure footing.

Will you join me in investing in BHFH’s future and our new Executive Director by making a donation to BHFH’s annual fund before June 30th?

Yours in community,
